WACO, Texas (KXXV) — Mitch Thompson will return as the head coach of Bears baseball, Baylor Athletics confirms to 25 News.
The Bears are coming off a 29-27 season which culminated in getting their first Big 12 Tournament win in the Thompson era against BYU.
Baylor would eventually be eliminated in the tournament by No. 1 Kansas.
Thompson was selected at the 20th head baseball coach in Baylor program history back in 2022. He will now enter his fifth season for the 2026-2027 season.
