25 Sports has confirmed that last year's starting quarterback for UMHB, Jake Wright, is no longer on the roster.
Wright threw for 1,678 yards and 13 touchdowns last season for The Cru — leading them to the DIII NCAA quarterfinals.
Wright departed the team after UMHB named Illinois transfer Kirkland Michaux as the starter.
UMHB opens the season against Bethel University at home on Sept. 6.
