MEXIA, Texas (KXXV) — Mexia football head coach and athletic director, Aaron Nowell has resigned from his position as confirmed by 25 News.
Nowell took over head coaching and athletic director duties in 2022 after the head coach stepped down. Originally he was going to resign in 2022 before deciding to remain with the Blackcats in 2023.
Mexia finished the 2025-2026 season 1-9 and 1-4 in district play.
