TEMPLE, Texas (KXXV) — Lake Belton football's Brian Cope has been named as the new Caney ISD head football coach, 25 News confirms.
Cope was a huge part of Lake Belton as he started up the Broncos athletic program in 2020.
Lake Belton gets set to move up to 6A football for UIL's realignment. They will go into it looking for a new head coach.
The Broncos last season finished 5-6 and 4-3 in district play. Lake Belton lost in the first round of the postseason to Highland Park.
