Crawford Police Department's former Chief of Police has been arrested for sexual assault.
Clayton Bruton was arrested by the Texas Department of Public Safety and booked into the Bell County Jail Friday afternoon.
This is the second time Burton has been arrested in less than a month.
He resigned from his position on August 20, 2020.
He was arrested by the Texas Rangers on August 20 for felony tampering with physical evidence. He is accused of deleting evidence from his phone following an investigation into sexual misconduct allegations made against him.
