WACO, TX — Photographers are finding ways to document this moment in history, while still following social distancing guidelines.

Genetra White is a photographer in Waco who recently started a series called Portraits on the Porch.

"I saw the idea in one of my photography groups on Facebook and then a neighbor mentioned that it would be cool. I figured it would be my own special way of giving back to the community and helping families document this time in history," said White. "So far, the response has been great."

White says neighbors who weren't able to participate the first time around are now inquiring about other days when she'll walk around the neighborhood.

She says there's absolutely no contact during the photo shoots and social distancing was exercised well beyond 6 ft.

"It's been really fulfilling," said White. "Being able to use my talents to document some happiness during a crisis."
