The Texas Medical Board temporarily suspended, without notice, a doctor’s medical license on Thursday.
Dr. Carrie Cannon, who is stationed in College Station, had her license suspended after the medical board determined her continuation in the practice of medicine poses a continuing threat to public welfare.
The Medical Board panel found that Dr. Cannon suffers from a psychiatric illness that impairs her ability to practice medicine with reasonable skill and safety to patients.
A temporary suspension hearing with notice is set after a 10-day notice from Dr. Cannon.
Her suspension remains in place until further notice from the Texas Medical Board.
