Nidal Hasan has been taken from the Bell County Jail and is being transported to Fort Leavenworth in Kansas.
He was picked up by helicopter around 9 a.m. Friday morning and taken to the military's death row at Fort Leavenworth.
He is now at Fort Leavenworth's United States Disciplinary Barracks for post-trial confinement.
Hasan was sentence to death on Wednesday for the 2009 Fort Hood shooting that killed 13.
