Crews in West were able to turn on water for residents in zones one and two on Friday. This news comes after officials said earlier this week that it could take up to three weeks for residents to get any water.
Friday morning, crews worked to turn on water meters from Spring St. to Oak Street. If a leak was found during the process, the meters will be turned back off.
Starting next week, those with meters still turned off will have to contact city hall. Officials are optimistic that they'll be able to lift the boil water notice sometime next week.
