A homicide investigation from April was referred to the grand jury, which deemed the shooting as self-defense, the Waco Police Department announced on Thursday.
Waco PD said the grand jury convened and determined that the shooter was "no billed."
Previously, Waco PD identified the shooting victim as Christian Chae Walker - his name has since been corrected to Christian Hicks.
