Waco to add new grocery option in 2026 with Sprouts Farmers Market

WACO, Texas (KXXV) — A permit filing with the Texas Department of Licensing shows a Sprouts Farmers Market is ahead for Waco.

The project is listed to start in February 2026 at 4633 S Jack Kultgen Expressway, #104. The site was previously used by JoAnn Fabrics.

Joann Fabrics and Crafts store at the Central Texas Marketplace in Waco closed down and a public filing shows a Sprouts Farmers Market construction is expected to wrap up in November 2026.

"Sprouts Farmers Market is excited to bring our selection of fresh, natural and organic food and products to Waco!" Sprouts PR said in a statement to 25 News.

Work at the location is scheduled to wrap up in November 2026, creating a 25,000 ft 2 facility.
