VALLEY MILLS, Texas (KXXV) — The Texas Department of Transportation will close SH 317 south of Valley Mills over the railroad starting on Tuesday, September 23.
The current bridge was built in 1954. The improve safety, the bridge will be widened to add shoulders.
TxDOT recommends drivers take the SH 6 and FM 185 detour while the project is ongoing. The City of Valley Mills says it could take up to two years to complete.
