UPDATE: McGregor Police serve warrant for aggravated assault, no arrest made

UPDATE 6:41 P.M.:
The McGregor Police Chief tells 25 News that his agency was serving a warrant for an aggravated assault that took place on Wednesday, but no arrest was made on Thursday at the home near 6th and Madison Avenue.

UPDATE 6:12 P.M.:
McLennan County Sheriff Parnell McNamara tells 25 News that his deputies were assisting McGregor Police Department in looking for someone, with a search warrant, Thursday afternoon.

Sheriff McNamara said that as of 6:10 p.m., the area was safe.

The McLennan County Sheriff's Office SWAT Team was also on scene assisting.

A heavy police presence is in the area of 6th Street and Madison Avenue, involving the McGregor Police Department and Texas DPS.

25 News crews on scene heard a name being called over a loud speaker from law enforcement.
