LUBBOCK, TX — The amount of people across the state of Texas up to the plate to serve our communities has been outstanding.

In Lubbock, Police Cpl. Paine saw that there were more trucks at a area travel center than usual while out on a call. He went and spoke to many of the drivers and listened to their stories of working tirelessly.

Paine said that these drivers were providing food and supplies for the nations and deserved some help.

Paine, along with a few other officers, passed out 50 meals that were donated by Heather Howell in Lubbock.

"We want to take this moment to thank not only doctors, nurses, grocery store workers, and first responders, but also those whose work happens behind the scenes to keep our country running!" the Lubbock Police Department.
