The Waco Police Department is currently investigating a child who was left alone in a vehicle at the 6000 block of Waco Drive.
A call came in on the Waco police scanner at around 3:55 p.m. that reported a grandmother had left a child alone in the car.
According to Waco police, the car was on and running. Officers were able to open the door and found the child sleeping in the car, unharmed.
Waco police would like to remind the public that leaving a child in a vehicle unattended can be dangerous, whether it is left running or, especially, turned off.
