WACO, TX — An armed robbery Monday morning has left police wondering if there is a connection between the crime and three other armed robberies.

Two cellphone stores and a discount smoke shop were robbed last week in Waco. Popeye's and KFC on Valley Mills Dr. were burglarized over the weekend. Upon further investigation, the same two stores were victims of similar crimes in Temple.

Wendy's Manager, Pamela Talley says she isn't shocked to hear all this news.

"It doesn't shock me but, ya know, you just don't want it to happen to us," Talley said.

She's worked at the Wendy's for 19 years and has seen her fair share of burglaries.

"We were all gone, and they broke in and they actually knocked out our window and we got it repaired," Talley said.

Officer Garen Bynum with Waco PD says they're working to see if there is a connection to all the recent crimes. They have reason to believe the three cellphone robberies may be connected but there is no definite answers at this time.

Olivia Hernandez works at Boost Mobile. After hearing about all the recent cellphone stores being robbed, she's kept her senses up.

"I'm very concerned now because they're jumping business to business. It's kind of an everyday thing now," Hernandez said.

Officer Bynum says if you become are in the situation of an armed robbery, do what they ask.

"Just be very very compliant do exactly as they say," Bynum said. "Nine times out of 10 here, they want to go inside the store, they want to get whatever merchandise and cash and get out as quick as possible."

There have been no reported injuries in the four armed robberies or two burglaries, but Waco PD asks that we all watch our surroundings.
