WACO, TX — A man has been arrested for allegedly robbing a Metro by T-Mobile store at gunpoint.

The Waco Police Department says around 10:15 a.m. on Monday, officers were dispatched to the store at 1619 North Valley Mills Drive for a robbery.

While officers were en route, they learned the suspect had fled the store.

Officers located a man matching the description and detained him. Authorities say evidence found placed the 22-year-old man in connection to the robbery that occurred.

Waco PD says during the robbery, the suspect entered the store, pointed a gun at the store clerk and demanded money. They then quickly fled the store.

Detectives are aware of two armed robberies that occurred at two local cellphone stores last week and are looking into the connection between the three robberies.

Authorities say the suspect's name will be released when official charges are put forth.
