WACO, TX — Waco police responded to reports of gunfire and a vehicle speeding away around 10:30 p.m. Tuesday night. Police said they were investigating a person walking around a neighborhood with a gun.

The call came in around 10:30 p.m. of shots fired followed by another call about an accident on 15th and West Street in Waco. Multiple suspects were seen fleeing with reports of additional gunshots, said officials.

Police found two vehicles with damage to them on the 1200 block of north 14th street. There were no injuries were reported.

On Wednesday, Waco PD said they were able to recover the two vehicles at the scene. One vehicle was a white Toyota Tacoma that had been reported stolen out of Austin. They also recovered several handguns, an AR-15 and multiple shell casings.

Officers said they are still searching for the shooter. Police blocked off 14th street as a precaution Tuesday night while they searched, but the street is now back open.
