WACO, TX — The Waco Police Department said they have arrested a man for threatening Walmart security with a knife when they tried to stop him from stealing merchandise.
Police said the incident happened at the Walmart on the 600 block of Hewitt Dr. on Oct. 23.
Security at the Walmart thought that Donald Burnett was acting suspicious and realized he was stealing merchandise. They tried to detain him, and he took off.
Security proceeded to chase him, and then he turned around and pulled out a knife. At this point, security determined the situation was too dangerous and backed off.
Burnett was identified and arrested on Monday for aggravated robbery.
