WACO, TX — A Midway High School freshman was hit by a car while riding his bike to school Friday morning.
The student was near Hewitt Elementary when he was hit.
The student is okay and only suffered minor injuries, according to an email sent to parents by Midway Independent School District Superintendent Dr. George Kazanas.
Dr. Kazanas is asking drivers to "keep a special eye out for kids along the roadsides, at intersections in construction, and near schools- not only within school zones."
