HEWITT, TX — Seniors in Hewitt are now eligible to receive scholarships for college.
The Greater Hewitt Chamber of Commerce is accepting applications for annual scholarships, for the 11th year in a row. The scholarships amount to a total of $10,000 to be split up between applicants.
For a student to be eligible, they must be graduating from Midway High School in Spring 2020, or must have a parent who is employed by a Greater Hewitt Chamber of Commerce member.
"The Greater Hewitt Scholarship Fund was created in 2008 as a way to give back to our members and the communities we serve," a representative from the chamber said. "Since 2008 the Chamber has awarded over $70,000 to local students in the form of scholarships."
More details about eligibility and how to apply are available on the Chamber's website, and applications are due Dec. 2.
