WACO, TX — After a storm at Lake Waco last April, two eaglets lost their nest and were sent to a Federal Rehabilitation center. Now, one year later, the surviving eagle is getting the chance to fly free.
Both eagles were rescued and brought to a rehabilitation center in bad shape.
Unfortunately, the male eaglet did not survive the surgery to repair his broken wing.
The female eagle recovered at a rehab center and was returned to Waco this past Saturday where she was set free.
This was almost one year since the initial accident.
