CHINA SPRING, Texas — A box full of hope for the community is exactly what Nicole Omo was able to make happen.

Outside of her State Farm office in China Spring there is a "Blessing Box" full of non perishable food items, books, activities, certificates and more.

The box is for anyone in the community.

"Often people want to help and they just don't know where to start and then there are those who don't want to ask for help and need it. It's right here in my parking lot and it's there for anyone who needs it," said Omo.

She says her hope is for people to feel welcome to get anything they need from the box at any time.

People can also contribute by donating items or money.

It took about two months for the "Blessing Box" to become a reality with the help of Brent Boerkircher, Pro Star Home Repair and Construction Services and Redwoods Inc.

Nick Colaku owner of Portofino'swas also a big part of making this project a reality.

Omo says she is thankful for everyone who has donated or participated in some way.

"When I needed help, people of China Spring and the Waco area helped me. It's one of the best things to help," said Colaku.

The box is located at 9519 China Spring Rd. Waco, TX 76708.

To find updates about the box you can find them on their Facebook page.
