HEWITT, TX — Attorney General Ken Paxton announced that the Child Exploitation Unit arrested a man he said was in possession of child pornography.

53-year-old George Henry Gemmell of Hewitt was arrested on five counts of possession of child pornography.

The Child Exploitation Unit investigators linked Gemmell to an IP address for a device that was used to share child pornography. A search of Gemmell's home turned up several images of child pornography on his desktop.

During an interview, Gemmell, who works as a security guard, admitted that he downloaded and viewed child pornography. There were several digital devices that were seized from his home for examination.

Since Paxton's Child Exploitation Unit started, they have arrested 324 arrests and obtained 567 convictions for possession of child pornography.
