WACO, TX — Safe Home's annual list of Texas's Safest Cities is out, and Flower Mound came in as this year's safest place to live in Texas.

The list is based on cities with populations over 50,000 and deciding factors include number of crime incidences, crime trends and the citizen-to-officer ratio.

Some of the larger cities made it to the list but have a lower score naturally because of denser populations.

According to Safe Home, Texas is a pretty safe place to live and even the densely populated areas have less crimes compared to other states.

Several Central Texas cities also made the list, with College Station coming in at #26 and Killeen at #36. To see the full list of cities, click here.
