AUSTIN, TX — The Austin Animal Center posted an image of a coyote chasing a dog that escaped from his house on June 2.
The center said due to the incident, they are also reminding pet owners to be vigilant.
The dog was returned back to his home with no injuries, but the animal center had a grave message for their followers.
"This time of year, wildlife is more active as they're teaching their babies how to hunt and survive," the post said. "Please be extra vigilant, particularly with small pets, and always keep them on a leash and supervise them in the backyard."
