PARKER COUNTY, TX — According to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram, a fisherman found an 800-year-old femur bone that dates back to 1286 A.D.

It washed up on the banks of the Brazos River in Parker County.

Scott Fuller, the fisherman who found it, thought it might have been a drowning or murder mystery, according to WFAA.

The Parker County sheriff later told the Telegram that medical examiners had concluded the bone belonged to a Caddo Indian, a tribe thought to have been in the area around that time.

According to the Weatherford Democrat, the bone is now being stored in an anthropological locker at the medical examiner's office with plans for it to eventually be given back to the tribe.
