WACO, TX — Waco Police are investigating after a 50-year-old man was found shot.
Waco Police officers were sent to the area of Forrest and East Clay around 7:30 p.m. Sunday in response to a man that had been shot.
When officers arrived, they located a 50-year-old man that had multiple gunshot wounds.
That male was transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.
A vehicle believed to have been involved was later located and several people were interviewed, but police say no arrests were made.
Later in the night, officers received a call of a discharge of a firearm in the area of N 19th and Homan Ave.
While officers were in the area investigating this discharge, a vehicle matching the suspect description for that incident was located and stopped.
After a search of the vehicle, officers located a handgun and illegal narcotics inside of the vehicle.
18-year-old Jaheim Taylor was arrested for Felon in Possession of a Firearm and Discharging a Firearm in a Municipality and taken to the McLennan County Jail.
A 17-year-old was also arrested on scene and taken to JDC.
There were no injuries reported in the second shooting, according to police.
Both shooting incidents are still ongoing investigations.
