WACO, TX — New closures are planned to take place on I-35 in Waco due to construction.

Both of the U-turns at North Loop 340 are currently closed for crews to work on bridges. These are expected to reopen around June 30.

Beginning Sunday, the off-ramp to Loop 340 Northbound (Exit #339A) and the entrance ramp after Behrens Circle will close nightly for the next three to four nights.

Beginning Sunday, the left turn from West Business 77 under I-35 to the frontage road will close nightly for crews to work on the remaining demolition of the frontage road bridge.

Beginning Monday, the off-ramp to 4th/5th Street (Exit #335A) will close permanently. Drivers will need to use the 8th Street exit (#334B) until a new temporary on-ramp can be constructed.

TxDOT is reminding drivers to watch for warning signs of closures and directions for alternative routes. These are the planned closures, depending on weather.
