Man saved after truck is partially submerged in Waco

WACO, TX — The McLennan County Game Wardens and Waco Fire Department and China Spring Volunteer Fire Department say they rescued an intoxicated man from a partially submerged truck last night.

The China Spring VFD say they responded to a call around 1:30 a.m. about a vehicle that was swept away at a low water crossing around Rock Creek.

The Game Wardens said there was a partially submerged truck with an individual on the roof.

The units worked together to quickly develop and implement a plan.

The man was safely rescued.

The units on scene included China Springs VFD, Waco FD, Mclennan County Sheriff's Office, Texas Game Wardens and AMR Waco.

After being rescued, it was determined that the man was intoxicated.

He was arrested by the McLennan County Sheriff’s Office.
