FORT HOOD, TX — Spouses on Fort Hood became honorary soldiers Friday morning.
In an effort to integrate families into the lives of their soldiers, the 1st Air Cavalry Brigade hosted its Spouse Spur Ride.
Spouses got a chance to experience some of the training that the soldiers go through.
Activities included a leader reaction course, Warriors Skills Training Center, an obstacle course and more.
"We got to work as a team and kind of problem solve on how we were going to get two boards, a 55-gallon drum and two ammo cans and all of our people across," said military spouse Amanda Camarano.
Those involved said the event also gave them an opportunity to say thank you to all of the spouses.
