KILLEEN, Tx — Killeen ISD put out an announcement on social media after rumors that a student threatened violence at Harker Heights High School, saying that the rumor "is completely unfounded."
"There is a rumor circulating among Harker Heights parents and students that a student yesterday threatened an act of violence against the school. This rumor is COMPLETELY FALSE. There has been NO THREAT against the school. Again, this rumor is false," said Terry Abbott, Killeen ISD spokesperson.
An automated phone message was also sent out to parents.
