Bell County has issued a shelter-in-place order for the county.

Individuals are not allowed to leave their homes except for essential activities, government activities or essential business.

The order goes into effect at 11:59 p.m. March 23rd until April 3.

On April 3, Bell County added Directive #5 which aligns their original order to match Gov. Abbott's statewide order.

All individuals currently living within Bell County are ordered to stay in their residence, save and except to provide or obtain essential services until April 30.

Directive #5 can be found here.

Essential jobs include grocery stores, restaurants and gas stations, auto supplies stores, construction stores, ect. You can get exercise outside, but practice social distancing.

All non-essential businesses should close and allow teleworking to the fullest ability.

Childcare facilities are still allowed to operate but no more than 10 should be in a group.

If someone in a household has tested positive, the family is ordered to self isolate.
