CENTRAL TEXAS — Central Texans are waking up to a cool morning behind yesterday's cold front. Temperatures in many areas are between 15 and 17 degrees cooler before sunrise when compared to 24 hours prior. We will move from the 50s to the mid 70s in most of Central Texas, however the western counties may only reach the upper 60s.

There is a small chance for some areas to the south to get some scattered light rain, but the majority of the day will be mostly cloudy and dry. Humidity will also be low today as dew points will remain in the 50s. This will make for a crisp. beautifully cloudy and mild afternoon.

Rain chances increase slightly as we move into the weekend. A few storms are possible with temperatures heading into the mid 80s through Sunday. A cold front enters our area on Mother's Day. Rain chances will likely arrive later in the day so an outing with mom should remain good if planned in the day.
