CENTRAL TEXAS — Saturday's high temp hit 105 for Waco, marking the 20th straight day of 100 degree heat.

That is now tied for the 13th-longest streak of such all time. Should we make it to the end of the month, that will put us at 29 straight days and put us in a tie for 5th place with 2023's 29-day 100° streak. The forecast, 101-105 for the next 10 days or more!

Sunday and Monday will stay around the 105 degree mark. Heat Index around 108.

Tuesday to Friday will be more humid, meaning the high temperatures will be around 101 to 104 with the heat index around 110. That plus the longevity of this heat streak could probably prompt an upgrade to Extreme Heat Warnings from the National Weather Service.

Another weak summer cold front could throw some nearby pop-up storms on Thursday for Central Texas and Friday for the Brazos Valley. To be honest... likely today's "rain chance" it'll be extremely hit-and-miss. And also like today, it's very unlikely it'll be able to change the temperature profile.
