Police said two men wearing masks broke into a Bellmead home Saturday morning at 5:20 a.m. Police believe one of the suspects was armed.

The incident happened in the 1100 block of Barlow Street in Bellmead.

Six people, including four children, were at home when the suspects entered.

The suspects forced the mother and four children to lie on the floor in a separate room while the father was beaten. Police said they could still see what was happening from the other room.

The victim was beaten with a gun and suffered several injuries. But none were life threatening, said Bellmead police.

The suspects were wearing masks that fully covered their faces, all black clothing and gloves.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone in the community who saw or heard anything should contact Bellmead police at 254-799-0251.
