TEXAS — As the I-35 expansion continues, TxDOT is launching its "Be Safe, Drive Smart" campaign.
The event, scheduled for June 29 from noon to 4 p.m., will take place at the Buc-Ee's in Temple.
The exhibit is interactive and will contain games and video displays that will remind drivers to drive safe on Interstate 35.
TxDOT said that in the section of I-35 that goes through Waco, there was over 2,500 crashes in 2018, 18 of which were fatal.
