WACO, TX — Traffic is back up on I-35 due to an accident in the southbound lane north of Waco. The motorcyclist involved in the accident was pronounced dead on the scene.
The motorcyclist has been identified as Cody Smith, 25, of West.
He hit a slick spot and was thrown off the motorcycle. Another vehicle, a pickup truck, hit Smith.
The accident happened early Thursday near exit 346, or U.S. 77.
Seek an alternative route. DPS said to expect delays until 10 a.m.
DPS, McLennan County Sheriff's Office, West Police Department and local fire departments are responding.
