Seven Central Texas cities were recently named among the top 125 safest cities in Texas, according to Alarms.org.
Alarms.org says Texas ranks as the 19th safest state for property crime, with an average of 24.97 per 1,000. The national average is 40.43 per 1,000.
The state also has an average of 3.38 violent crimes per 1,000.
Alarms.org did not name any Central Texas city in its top five safest cities in the state, however, seven made the top 125 out of nearly 1,000 cities in the state.
