With the opioid crisis on the rise and invasive medical practices becoming the norm, a new holistic form of recovery and overall well being has come to those on Fort Hood.

U.S. Cryotherapy on Fort Hood is the first branch of its kind on a military installation. It gives our local troops and their families the opportunity to seek wellness through natural holistic means.

Though cryotherapy may be a new concept to some, the practice has been around and being fine-tuned for years. Essentially, cryotherapy heals its users through activating the central nervous system by immersing the user in sub-zero temperatures. Once the central nervous system is activated, the body then produces endorphins which work with the body to promote health.

Cryotherapy is said to have many benefits such those with insomnia, anxiety, or chronic pain could see a change in their condition by trying this new form of healing.

Fort Hood's U.S Cryotherapy Center is open to all military and their families. For more information, click here.
