As a part of Allstate’s Purple Purse Foundation, David Wilson Allstate in Waco has been collecting shampoo, diapers and other toiletries to deliver to the Waco Family Abuse Center.
Purple Purse is a program that is committed to helping victims of domestic violence through financial means.
Allstate invited many of their agents from 15 Texas cities to connect with their local family abuse center.
Waco agent David Wilson stresses that we all need to be more aware of domestic violence and that this cause is an opportunity to help change.
“When you have a chance to do something about it, in this case, it's to help the victims of it. I think people need to step up and do something and this is our opportunity and we wanted to take advantage of that,” said Wilson.
The Allstate in Waco will continue to collect supplies during business hours from 8:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m. until Friday.
