Last night, AT&T successfully completed the world’s first-millimeter wave 5G connection to standards-based device on a mobile 5G network, and the test was completed in Waco.
This will be on a commercially available basis on available 5G devices.
This is the first standards-based mobile 5G device in the world able to access a live millimeter wave 5G network and it will be available exclusively from AT&T later this year.
AT&T is currently on track to be the first carrier to introduce mobile 5G services in the U.S. expanding to 12 cities this year and 19 early next year.
