A food truck owner in Waco is grateful to see the sun after a week of bad weather hurt his business.

Tommy Holloway owns Silver Creek Ranch BBQ on University Parks Drive. He said the rain and chilly temperatures slowed down foot traffic quite a bit.

"We hardly had anyone come out," Holloway said. "We had to shut down a couple of days when the thunderstorms started coming down hard."

Holloway said he easily lost more than 50 percent in sales.

Now that the sun in back, he's trying to make up for lost time as his hungry customers return.

"It's great to have this sunshine," Holloway said. "We had a pretty good day yesterday. It started off kind of cloudy and gloomy, but by the evening time, it got better. We had a good day."
