Rick Hall has been appointed to replace Dennis Corrington as Texas A&M University’s newly appointed director of the Department of Recreational Sports.
Hall is a Virginia native and has a passion for health and wellness. He earned both a bachelor’s and a master’s degrees in health and physical education from Virginia Tech. Hall previously was head director of intramurals and student activities at Bluefield State College in West Virginia from 1977 to 1979.
“Texas A&M had tremendous resources then and even so now,” Hall said, explaining his initial draw to the university. “The opportunities to build and grow are abundant within the department.”
Corrington is retiring after holding this title for 45 years.
