San Antonio installs cameras to stop drivers from going around school buses

Posted

The San Antonio Independent School District has installed cameras on all of its school buses as an effort to stop drivers from driving around stopped buses, according to News 4 San Antonio

If you are caught on the bus' camera, you will be mailed a $300 ticket.

The cameras are mounted on each side of every bus and will record when a driver illegally goes around a bus with its stop sign deployed. A warning period was in effect at the beginning of the school year, but the grace period ended last week.

News 4 said the cameras were installed free of charge by American Traffic Solutions.
