One person was pronounced dead after a truck tractor accident in Hill County on Thursday.

According to the Department of Public Safety, at approximately 12:50 p.m. troopers responded to a truck tractor fatal crash on SH 31, southwest of Mount Calm.

The Kenworth T600 was traveling northeast when the tire blew out. The truck tractor lost control, left the roadway and overturned.

The driver, 26-year-old Preston Glass, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to DPS.

DPS said for optimum performance, tires must have the correct air pressure, tread depth, balance and the wheels of the vehicle must be properly aligned.
