Marin City Council calls town hall meeting to discuss infrastructure

Marlin City Council held a town hall meeting on Friday. The topics discussed included a drainage system, potential tax increases and city infrastructure.

The popular topic of discussion by those attending was the idea of an improved drainage system. The improvement would fix many of the problems that the city faces when it comes to flooding, but that will come with an increase in taxes.

The council has not adopted a budget at this time. Marlin City Council has until the end of September to adopt a budget for the project. They meet again on Sept. 11 to discuss further.
