A Central Texas Hospital is lending a helping hand to Coryell Memorial Hospital after the deadly explosion last week.
Baylor Scott & White decided to hold a blood drive at their Gatesville clinic on Friday.
Some of the victims from the explosion were treated at Baylor Scott & White and were stabilized with blood and plasma.
The hope is for this blood drive to restock the hospital in case another tragic accident happens again.
"I believe this community always kind of rallies behind when we have some tragic events and stuff of that nature, and regardless of what it's gonna be used for I know that it's going to help somebody out. So, when I was in town and I actually had the time to come up today, I wanted to make sure and do that," Clayton Floyd, a Gatesville resident and blood donor, said.
The blood drive's hours were extended due to the massive amount of people who wanted to donate.
