Today is Chicken Fried Steak Day!
Texans love chicken fried steak day so much that they gave its own day.
A restaurant in east Temple called Ratibor is known for making some great chicken fried steak in Central Texas.
The way they make it is, you take the chicken fried steak, put it in the buttermilk and then batter it in flour, which has the salt and pepper in it.
Then put again in the buttermilk and batter it twice and put it in the flour. Then deep fry for about seven minutes until its golden brown and take it out and put it on a plate. It’s ready to go!
In 2011, the Texas Legislature officially designated October 26th as Chicken Fried Steak Day, but the delicious dish is enjoyed all throughout the year!
