An officer with Lacy Lakeview Police Department responded to a call regarding an injured hawk this morning. The hawk was turned over to a bird rehabilitation specialist for treatment.
The officer who rescued the bird jokingly suggested the department should adopt the hawk and train him to detect drugs like a k9 unit.
